This is my neighbors little girl that is so cute.

"Charmander" The Neighbors Cat

This is my neighbors cat "Charmander" and he is one interesting cat. He likes to lie in the middle of the driveway and I have to tell him to get out of the way when I get home.

These are pictures I have taken of him over the last three years in the backyard.

HDR Photo Walk @ 3rd Dam

We did an HDR (High Dynamic Range) photo walk above 3rd Dam at the Spring Hollow campground in Logan Canyon. It was a fun time meeting more people from the Cache Valley Photographers club. I have been doing HDR photography for almost 5 years now and I still need to learn more and improve my technique. I know that I learned a few new tricks and I hope that I helped out other photogs that were new to doing HDR photography.

All images were shot with a Nikon D7000 camera with the Nikon 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens

I was asked to do pictures for my grandson's Jr. Prom and I think they turned out quite well.

Steel Woolin' up Spring Hollow!

What a very cold night to go spin some steel wool with the Cache Valley Photographers Club. I think it had to be down around zero or even below zero. After about 2 hours standing in the cold freezing, on the last shot I did some of the spinning myself and on the way back to my camera to stop the exposure I stepped in the creek with one of my feet. I was just wearing slip-on Sketchers. Within about 2 minutes I had an iced show that the snow was stuck to. Dang I should have worn boots! I missed out on some other great shots because I had to leave. Well maybe next time.

It was after this last shot that I stepped in the creek and damn near gave me frost bite from doing it.

Christmas Day 2012 - Fresh Snow

Ok we had a snow storm come through the valley on Christmas Eve and it left about 6 inches of fresh snow for a white Christmas. I decided to get up Christmas morning and go find a place to get a few good shots of the valley and ended up by the USU Old Main Hill.

I did a little off camera sunset portrait shoot for Meisha my step-daughter and they turned out quite well.
